Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Mike.A is an artist and designer whose work bridges fine art, street culture, and commercial design. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts (BFA, 1996), his style draws deep inspiration from the early graffiti movement and the creative energy of New York City.
For decades, Mike has been known for his signature airbrushed window art seen throughout the Tri-State area, capturing the attention of clients like Heineken and features in Airbrush Magazine, Mac Design Magazine, and Photoshop User.
After graduation, he began his professional career as a commercial artist for GoodTimes Entertainment, later serving as Creative Director for GT Media and Gaiam. His design work has appeared in campaigns for major brands including Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Hallmark, and Target.
In 2014, Mike founded TimeDriven, an art and design studio dedicated to building bold visual identities and brands for clients across industries.
In 2015, he collaborated with Mobile Octopus, creating mobile games and apps that expanded his creative vision into the digital and interactive space. He later developed and illustrated “Pigfish,” an original mobile game and comic book that combines humor, character design, and storytelling.
His commissioned works span residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces — most notably a series of seven paintings for the W Hotel in South Beach, Miami, commissioned by art collector Aby Rosen.
Mike’s large-scale public artwork “A Bronx Tale” — a 100-foot mural near Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, commissioned by the Belmont Business Improvement District — pays tribute to his roots and to Chazz Palminteri’s iconic story.
